Analogue oscillators typically drift out of tune as time passes. Tuning calibrations are intended to restore the tuning stability of the oscillators, facilitating easier play with accompanying music. Within this article, we are going to learn how to test your synth's tuning, and how to perform a tuning calibration.
Testing The Synth
- Connect the output of the synth to a reliable tuner.
- Hold the PANEL button for one second to load an initialized patch.
- Set OSC 1 TUNE to 12 O'clock.
- Set OSC 2 FREQ to 12 O'clock.
- Set both OSCILLATORS WAVESHAPES to a harmonically rich shape, such as a SAWTOOTH for easier detection.
