Using Animoog Z in a DAW that doesn't support the AUv3 plugin format

Modified on Fri, 8 Dec, 2023 at 5:45 AM

The Animoog Z plugin wrappers provide AUv2 and VST3 versions of the Animoog Z plugins for hosts that don’t support the AUv3 plugin format. Both wrappers can be found here: https://moogconnect.net/downloads/animoog/AnimoogZ_AUv2_VST3_20221116.dmg

INSTALLATION

To install the AUv2 plugins, drag “Animoog Z.component” and “Animoog Z Effect.vst3” into the folder “/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components”.

To install the VST3 plugins, drag “Animoog Z.vst3” and “Animoog Z Effect.vst3” into the folder “/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3”.

Please open the Animoog Z application at least once before using any of the plugins.

USAGE

• Animoog Z (wrapped)

• Animoog Z Effect (wrapped)

Some hosts will also list the non-wrapped versions, even if they don’t support the AUv3 format. Using these will display a black plugin window instead of a functioning Animoog Z. Selecting the wrapped versions instead will use the AUv2 or VST3 versions with full Animoog Z functionality.

When both the wrapped and non-wrapped versions fully work in your host, using the non-wrapped versions will provide better performance.
