Using Model D plugin in a DAW that doesn't support the AUv3 plugin format

Modified on Tue, 3 Sep at 10:07 AM

The Minimoog Model D plugin wrappers provide AUv2 and VST3 versions of the Minimoog Model D plugins for hosts that don’t support the AUv3 plugin format.

Both wrappers can be found in the Help menu of the Model D app or downloaded from this link here: https://inmusic.to/modeld-vst-download

INSTALLATION

To install the AUv2 plugins, drag “Model D.component” into the folder “/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components”.

To install the VST3 plugins, drag “Model D.vst3” into the folder “/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3”.

Please open the Model D application at least once before using any of the plugins.

USAGE

 - Model D (wrapped)

Some hosts will also list the non-wrapped versions, even if they don’t support the AUv3 format. Using these will display a black plugin window instead of a functioning Minimoog Model D. Selecting the wrapped versions instead will use the AUv2 or VST3 versions with full Minimoog Model D functionality.

When both the wrapped and non-wrapped versions fully work in your host, using the non-wrapped versions will provide better performance.
