Moog Plugins Activation Errors | How to Sync Date and Time on Mac and Windows Computers

Modified on Wed, 16 Oct at 5:24 AM

Moog Music Plugins, such as Moogerfooger Effects and Mariana, require activation/re-activation every 90 days with a stable Internet connection - Activation errors may occur if the time & date settings on your computer are manually specified; causing a 'time-out' between our servers and your computer.

The contents of this guide will help you sync the time & date settings on your machine to help prevent authorization errors upon activating / re-activating your Moog Software.

For Windows:

  1. Open the Start Menu and search for "Date & time settings."
  2. Click "Date & time settings" from the results.
  3. Ensure "Set time automatically" is turned on.
  4. Also enable "Set time zone automatically."
  5. Click "Sync now" under Additional settings if necessary.

For macOS:

  1. Go to the Apple menu () and open System Settings.
  2. Navigate to General > Date & Time.
  3. Ensure "Set date and time automatically" is checked.
  4. Select the correct time zone.
  5. Your Mac will now sync the date and time with the internet.

By keeping these settings synced, you can avoid authorization errors with Moog Music plugins.
