Our support team will be working with limited hours from December 24th to January 2nd. While we’re here to help, response times may be a little longer than usual.
To sync Subharmonicon to another analog clock equipped hardware instrument, such as Mother 32, you’ll need to:
Confirm that your clock source, in this case Mother 32 can output a Clock signal and that it is configured to do so. If you need help configuring M32’s assign output, refer to THIS link.
Plug an 1/8 inch patch cable from the assign output on M32, into the Clock input on Subharmonicon. Press play on M32 and you should be synced, with both instruments playing in time together.
NOTE: refer to manuals for any module or hardware that sends Clock for help in configuring it’s Clock output options. You may be able to send divisions or multiplications of the Clock tempo like you can with Mother-32.
NOTE: An analog clock signal connected to the CLOCK input jack of the patchbay will override the internal clock. A MIDI clock signal connected to the MIDI IN input jack of the patchbay (using a ve-pin DIN socket to 1/8” plug TYPE A MIDI connector, such as the one provided with your Subharmonicon) will override both the internal clock and any analog clock signals connected to the CLOCK input jack.
NOTE: Internal clock is 1 PPQ until a MIDI clock is detected. When MIDI clock is present, the PPQ is 4 (16th notes).
