Why does the CV applied to Rate and Time knobs change depending on the position of the knob?

Rate and time knobs on many of the Moogerfooger Effect Plug-ins have non-linear values. As a result, when you apply a linear CV signal to a non-linear knob, then a linear value will appear differently when applied at different knob positions.
