Our support team will be working with limited hours from December 24th to January 2nd. While we’re here to help, response times may be a little longer than usual.
The Moog One is multitimbral, meaning that for every patch it can play up to three completely different sounds and these can be layered in a variety of ways. Each layer of a patch is called a “synth” and the saved sounds that can be loaded into them are called “timbres.”
When you press the Home button, the display will show the name of the current preset, along with the three synths and the names of the timbres that are loaded into them. Synths that are greyed out are ones for which the keyboard control is not presently engaged.
If you want to load a timbre from another patch into one of the layers of the patch you are currently working in, select the “Browse Presets” soft button above the display. This will take you to a list of the presets in your current user space and you can scroll through them by rotating the Master Knob. (NOTE: this will not change the current preset unless you have turned on PRESET AUTOLOAD in the Hardware Settings menu. If this feature is off, the selected preset will only load once you press down on the Master Knob).
As you scroll through the presets, you will see a list of the timbres loaded into each synth layer on the right hand side. Any of these can be loaded into the synth layer that is currently selected under Panel Focus of the patch you are currently in, using the soft buttons above the display. Just press the button indicating which timbre you want to load from the preset you are looking at in the browser. If you want to load it into a different synth, simply select the desired synth in the Panel Focus window and the options under the soft buttons will change.
Once you have loaded your desired synths into the current patch, you can save it by clicking the Save button. This will give you the option to not only save or change the name of the patch, but the individual timbres as well.
