Our support team will be working with limited hours from December 24th to January 2nd. While we’re here to help, response times may be a little longer than usual.
Many synthesizers offer the ability to turn off local control so that if you are using it as a controller with a Digital Audio Workstation, you do not duplicate notes when you press a key (the MIDI note it sends and the note you are triggering directly on the One itself). This can be especially useful when recording MIDI notes from the One while the arpeggiator or sequencer is engaged.
While Moog One doesn’t have a simple setting to turn off local control, the same effect can be achieved by simply turning off KEYBOARD CONTROL for the desired synth layer you are playing.
You can also assign each layer to different MIDI channels by pressing the SETTINGS BUTTON, scrolling to MIDI I/O with the large encoder knob, and then setting the desired MIDI channel for each SYNTH.
This allows you to play each synth from your DAW without duplicating notes or sending contradictory messages to the One’s sequencer.
